Don't Lose Your Keys and Bag! New Feature Arrived in Google Find Hub
Platform: Android
Application: Google Find Hub
Forgetting where you left your keys at home, forgetting your bag somewhere or not being able to find your suitcase while traveling is really annoying.
Google's Find Hub app helps find compatible Android devices, accessories and tracking tags.
You can check the location of supported phones, tablets, headphones or tracking tags through the application. It is also possible to play a sound or examine the location of the lost item on compatible devices.
For example, you placed a tracking tag compatible with the Find Hub network on your bag. When you lose your bag, you can check the location information of the tag via the application. Depending on the characteristics of the tracking tag and surrounding devices, the currency of location information may vary.
What's new with the October 2026 update supports NFC.
Changes in version 26.39 of Google Play Services make it easier to access tag information and settings or identify a lost tag by tapping your phone on compatible Find Hub tracking tags.
In the new tag setup, operations such as specifying a name, choosing a category and setting leave-behind reminders can also be configured at an earlier stage.
This feature can be especially useful for people who use multiple tracking tags. For example, if one is on your keys and the other is on your backpack, you can distinguish the tags by naming them.
But there is an important detail: NFC feature does not work on every tracking tag. You must have a compatible tag, an NFC-supported phone, and the relevant update on your device. Since Google's updates can be distributed gradually, the feature may not appear for everyone on the same day.
In short: If you lose things frequently, Find Hub can help you set up a practical tracking system that extends from your phone to your physical belongings.
