Now take your phone and open WhatsApp.

First from the top right Settings section.

Then Account section.

Here Two-step verification option.

Now we go here and enable the feature.

WhatsApp is asking you to create an additional security verification.

Determine the password or PIN you will use here so that no one else can guess it.

And something very important:

Do not share the registration code or security password sent to you by WhatsApp with anyone.

WhatsApp clearly states that two-step verification provides extra security to your account. In the current system, WhatsApp upgrades the previously used 6-digit PIN structure to the password system in some accounts; You need to use whichever option appears in your account. Additionally, adding an email address can provide extra protection against account retrieval in case you forget the verification information.

So what we will do here is very simple:

WhatsApp → Settings → Account → Two-step verification

You enter here and check whether it is active or not.

If it is closed, turn it on.

If it is already open, good, you have passed the first security check.

Now we move on to the second setting.

This setting is not a password that protects your account from being hacked.

But it can make your phone quieter against unnecessary and suspicious WhatsApp calls.

On WhatsApp “Silence unknown callers” feature.

Now:

WhatsApp → Settings → Privacy

section.

From here Calls section.

Here Silence unknown callers option.

We are activating this.

So what happens?

Your phone does not ring normally when an unknown number calls you on WhatsApp.

But there is an important detail here:

The search does not disappear completely.

Muted calls You still see it in the calls tab and notifications.

So, according to WhatsApp's official statement, the purpose is to prevent unknown calls from ringing your phone; not to completely eliminate the search itself.

This feature can be really useful, especially for those who constantly receive calls from foreign numbers.
