In traditional processes, this operation requires manual monitoring of RSS feeds by editors, manual rewriting of texts, manual setup of SEO optimizations (headlines, tags, meta descriptions), and entering the content into the Content Management System (CMS) one by one.

In addition to generating significant staffing costs, this manual workflow undermines the Google News and SEO performance of websites due to its vulnerability to human error, operational slowness causing stories to lose their breaking relevance, and the risk of duplicate content. Publishers urgently need a 100% unique and fully autonomous content supply chain without compromising on speed.

A client of ours in the digital publishing industry was facing severe difficulties in their content production processes while managing multiple news websites. The pressure to constantly stay up-to-date and rank high in search engines was negatively affecting operational efficiency.

The core problems were as follows:

→High Manual Workload: The editorial team was spending a large part of the day tracking RSS sources, manually copying and editing news, finding images, and posting to WordPress.
→Low Content Uniqueness: Simple edits made for the sake of being fast led to duplicate content issues and lowered SEO performance.
→Scaling Problem: Launching a new niche site brought an additional burden to the existing team and increased costs. Providing a 24/7 news stream was almost impossible.
→High Operational Cost: Editor salaries required for continuous content production constituted a significant portion of the budget.

To overcome these challenges, we developed an end-to-end automation web software called "News Bot". Operating on a pure PHP and MySQL infrastructure without any framework dependencies, the system offers maximum performance and compatibility.

Our solution delivers an automation workflow consisting of 4 main steps:

1. Automated Data Collection and Filtering

Via CRON jobs, the system scans an unlimited number of defined RSS sources every 5 minutes. While fetching new articles into the database, it automatically rejects news containing "blacklist" words (e.g., betting, gambling) set by the administrator and flags those containing "priority" words.
2. AI-Powered Uniquification and Enrichment

Each fetched article is sent to a selected AI model such as Google Gemini, OpenAI (GPT-4o), or Anthropic (Claude). Thanks to advanced prompt engineering, the AI not only rewrites the news but also:
- Generates 3 different headline alternatives that are SEO-friendly with high click-through potential and selects the best one.
- Analyzes the reliability of the content and assigns a "Fact-Checking Score".
- Finds the most suitable licensed image for the news via the Pexels API.
3. Automated Publishing to WordPress

The uniquified headline, content, and discovered image are securely transmitted to the target site using the WordPress REST API. Each RSS source can be routed to a different WordPress site and a specific category within that site. Articles can be published immediately or saved as drafts depending on preference.
4. Instant Social Media Distribution

The moment the article is published on WordPress, the system automatically sends notifications to Telegram channels, Mastodon accounts, and Webhook addresses connected to platforms like Zapier/Make. This ensures the content instantly reaches a wide audience.
