Google's New Artificial Intelligence Works Without Internet! Listens to Your Meetings and Takes Notes

Program: Google AI Edge Foresight

It is very difficult to listen to what is said during the meeting and take note of important points at the same time. When you are distracted for a few minutes, you may miss an important detail, and you may have difficulty remembering the meaning of the notes you took after the meeting is over.

Announced by Google on October 8, 2026 AI Edge Foresight is an experimental Mac app that aims to solve this exact problem.

The app helps transcribe conversations from meetings, turn short notes into more comprehensive meeting notes, and answer questions about the content of recordings.

The most striking part is that artificial intelligence performs its operations on the computer. The application introduced by Google is designed to work offline on Macs with supported Apple Silicon processors. Not being dependent on a cloud-based service for voice recordings, transcripts and notes is especially important for privacy.

So how can you use it in daily life?

Imagine you are participating in an online meeting. You can take notes of just a few words as you follow the conversation. Foresight helps turn these short notes into more organized text by using the context of the conversation.

You can also ask questions via the transcript after the meeting is over. For example, you can investigate what decisions were made or what issues need to be revisited. The application can also work with a repository of local documents, helping you find information in related files.

There are also different areas of use for content producers:

• Extracting key points from interviews.

• Editing voice notes of video ideas.

• Preparing content drafts from long meetings.

• Reviewing the information in the project documents together with the speech notes.

But there is an important detail: Foresight is an experimental application. It is not necessary to give an absolute guarantee about the level of Turkish speech recognition success in every scenario. Additionally, working offline does not mean that all the information it produces is error-free.

In short: A new tool that Mac owners who do not want to use cloud-based AI for meeting notes should definitely check out.
