You have prepared your website, but how will you make it visible to everyone on the internet? This is where FTP (File Transfer Protocol) comes into play. There is nothing to be afraid of, we are actually just moving a file.
STEP 01
Open FileZilla
Download and open FileZilla, the world's most popular FTP client. This tool creates a bridge between your computer and your server.
STEP 02
Enter Server Information
Fill in the Server, Username and Password sections at the top. You can find this information in your hosting panel or in the activation email you receive.
STEP 03
Drag Files
After the connection is established, double-click the public_html folder in the server list on the right. Select the site files on your own computer (left side) and drag them into this folder.
⚠️ Important Detail: The file name of your home page must be index.html (or index.php). Otherwise, an empty list will appear instead of your site!
