BMW Officially Announces the New Electric 3 Series

BMW introduced the new generation BMW 3 Series on September 30, 2026. The most striking aspect of the new generation is that it is fully electric BMW i3 Joining the 3 Series family.

According to BMW's statement, the i3 50 xDrive, 463 horsepower, dual-motor all-wheel drive, 400 kW DC fast charging and estimated Range up to 750 km offers. The vehicle also features BMW's new Panoramic iDrive system, 17.9-inch central screen and new driving assistance technologies.

Why is it important for the content creator / daily user?

Electric cars are no longer just a separate class of “electric models”. BMW is placing the electric option directly into the 3 Series, one of the brand's most important models.
