“Now everyone who does voice-overs on YouTube is here.

We know Adobe Audition.

A powerful program.

But if you don't want a subscription, definitely try Audacity.

Because Audacity is free.

Open source.

Works on Windows, Mac and Linux.

You are recording audio.

You are cutting.

You reduce noise.

You are regulating the volume.

You are adding music or effects.

So you can do most of the basic and intermediate level work here, especially for YouTube voice-over or podcasting.

Moreover, the current version is 4.0.1.

So we are not talking about a program that has been abandoned for years and whose development has stopped.

Of course, don't expect Audition's entire professional workflow to be exact.

But if you say 'I don't want to pay for sound editing'...

Install Audacity on your computer and give it a try.

Because many people can find most of the features they actually use in Audacity.”
